our story
Founded in 2024 by Nancy, Peter and Marty, GET RUDE started with a question: why does every product in this category feel the same?
Two and a half years later, we have the answer and something completely different.
We read thousands of papers, interviewed hundreds of people, and took apart over 50 products. All the same inside - 12 buzzing patterns, blanket stimulation, maximum power. The research told us something different: over 240 variables across the vulva alone that sustain and enhance pleasure. The industry hadn't even scratched the surface.

We took everything we learned and started drawing. Shape, size, how people actually hold and use these products. We sketched and re-sketched until we had a form factor designed for real bodies, not factory convenience.

Our first batch of parts arrived and nothing fit together. We hand-filed over 600 pieces to make them work - every necessary for 2 weeks in boiling hot water. Not glamorous. Very necessary. We had to define entirely new parameters for size and shape because there's no point building tech that doesn't fit the body it's made for.

Can we measure arousal? Not at first. Then sort of. Then yes. Can we recreate the motions that enhance it? Yes, until silicone went over the components and everything broke. So we rebuilt. Tested. Rebuilt. Tested. Until it did what the science said it should.

We shared it with real people, brought in early investors who got it, and started building everything around it - the app, the models, and a growing community of people who want to understand their bodies. We're one of them.
